So, uh, knock on wood, my computer is functional again.
(Power supply was acting up; not a great surprise given the obvious symptom, but doing so in a strange way under further testing - after all, it does still -work- after a fashion. Just not properly)

Well, except that the front USB ports are connected wrong so I don't have tablet access just yet. I'll fix that when I wake back up.
